Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Arx Foundry (“we,” “us,” or “our”), the operator of Tamil Learn (the “Service”), handles information when you use the Service. We aim to keep this simple. In short: we use information to run and improve our products, to understand how the Service is used, and to support our business — including by working with trusted partners. By using the Service, you acknowledge this Policy and our Terms & Conditions.
Who the Service is for
The Service is intended for adults (18 years or older) and for minors who use it only under the supervision, and with the consent, of a parent or legal guardian. The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). A parent or guardian who permits a minor to use the Service is responsible for that use and accepts this Policy on the minor’s behalf. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information, now or as the Service evolves, and may combine information from these sources:
- Information you provide — e.g., when you contact us, respond to a survey, or (if offered) create an account or make a purchase.
- Usage and learning data — lessons viewed, exercises attempted, answers, progress, streaks, settings, and other interactions.
- Device and technical data — collected automatically, such as device and browser type, operating system, language, identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, the pages and features you use, and timestamps.
- Cookies and local storage — information stored on or read from your device via cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies.
- Information from partners and other sources — such as analytics, attribution, measurement, hosting, advertising, and marketing providers.
Cookies & similar technologies
The Service relies on cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for essential functionality (such as remembering your progress and settings) as well as for analytics, measurement, and the purposes described here. These technologies are an integral part of how the Service works, and by using the Service you consent to their use as described in this Policy and our Terms. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may prevent parts of the Service from working properly.
How we use information
We use information for a range of business and commercial purposes, including to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
- research, analyze, and develop products, features, and new offerings, including for our other and future products and services;
- understand usage and measure performance through analytics, including automated analysis to personalize content, recommendations, and the learning experience;
- communicate with you and, where permitted, send updates and marketing;
- create and use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data and insights;
- protect against fraud, abuse, and security risks, and comply with law; and
- any other purpose described to you or to which you consent.
Any automated processing we use supports analytics and personalization; we do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you without a lawful basis.
How we share information
We may share information in the following ways:
- Service providers who perform functions on our behalf — for example hosting and content delivery, analytics, audio and content tooling, communications, and (if offered) payments.
- Partners and other third parties, now or in the future, including analytics, measurement, advertising, research, and commercial partners, to support, promote, and improve our products and business.
- Aggregated and de-identified information, which we may use, disclose, license, or sell for any purpose, including commercial purposes, to the extent permitted by law.
- Personal information may also be made available to partners and third parties, including in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration. Depending on your location, some of these disclosures may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under applicable law (see “Your choices & rights”).
- Corporate transactions — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
- Legal and safety — to comply with law or legal process, enforce our terms, or protect rights, property, or safety.
Legal bases (EEA / UK)
Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we process personal data based on one or more of: your consent; our legitimate interests (such as operating, securing, analyzing, developing, promoting, and commercializing our products and data, balanced against your rights); performance of a contract; and compliance with legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Your choices & rights
Marketing. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in a message or by contacting us.
Cookies & Do Not Track.You can control cookies through your browser. Because there is no common industry standard for “Do Not Track” signals, the Service does not currently respond to them.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. EEA/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA).California residents may request to know, delete, and correct personal information; may opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; and may limit the use of sensitive personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To opt out of any sale or sharing, or to exercise any other right, simply email us using the contact details at the end of this Policy and state your request (an authorized agent may submit it on your behalf with proof of authorization). We will verify and respond as required by law.
Sensitive information
We do not seek to collect sensitive personal information (such as government identifiers or precise geolocation) in the ordinary course of providing the Service, and we ask that you not provide it. Where any such information is processed, we handle it consistent with applicable law.
International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than your own, which may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for those transfers.
Data retention & security
We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements, after which we delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date above, and your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
